Description

Participants will delve into the communication solutions within Snap + Core First that support people with aphasia. Techniques and tools that support help the person with aphasia communicate more effectively across environments will be the focus of this hands-on opportunity. Each participant will leave the session with resources and practical tips that can be used the very next day.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

• List three ways AAC supports can meet the needs of people with aphasia
• List five AAC supports appropriate for a person with aphasia

Check-in begins at 10:45 am

Certificates of Attendance will be available to use as continuing education documentation for clinical maintenance hours.

All participants are encouraged to bring an Ipad, windows 10 tablet (download  SNAP Core First App)  bring a Tobii Dynavox Indi, I 110 or I Series with Snap + Core First to get hands on experience.
