Description This implementation-based workshop will focus on the emergent communicator and how we can best provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports and strategies that help them realize their communication potential. Participants will review the stages of pre-intentional and intentional communication. Participants will then learn about low and high-tech AAC communication supports with the goal of moving our emergent communicators toward symbolic communication.
