In this workshop you will learn how we can best provide AAC supports and strategies that help the emergent communicator realize their communication potential.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, participants will be able to: 

·       Describe the communication abilities of an emergent communicator

·       List two assessment tools that can be used to measure current communication abilities and identify opportunities for growth

·       Describe two software solutions that can support an emergent communicator

This course will be offered for 0.1 ASHA CEUs (Introductory level, Professional Area).

Amanda Hobar
Amanda Hobar is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who has evaluated and treated individuals across the lifespan with a wide variety of disorders. Amanda has implemented Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) solutions with pediatric and adult populations while working in private practice, K-12 education, rehab and outpatient settings. She develops and conducts internal and customer trainings as a member of the Tobii Dynavox Learning Services Team.
