Description This workshop will introduce four pillars of implementation (education, access, communication, and social/emotional development) for supporting individuals with special needs. Using case studies, participants will explore specific strategies for supporting success in each of the pillars within the therapy room or classroom. Practical resources will be demonstrated and shared. Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to: · Define complex communication and learning. · List four implementation pillars for meeting the needs of students with special needs. · Describe three resources for support learning, access, communication and social/emotional development.

Amber Dollar M.Ed, is a seasoned educator and administrator with over twenty years experience in public education. Prior to joining Tobii Dynavox, Amber served in the public schools in numerous roles including teacher, special education coordinator, transition specialist, AT supervisor, and curriculum writer. Now Amber is a Learning Program Manager on the Learning Services team. In this role, she develops and facilitates virtual and on-site learning and creates implementation resources for families and professionals.
