Tobii Dynavox Discovery Lab - Newark, DE (Private Training for Bayada Employees only.)

Description

You are invited to come and explore in the Tobii Dynavox Discovery Lab!  Using lecture and case studies, participants will LEARN about communication, access and independence solutions for adults.  Then, you will make your way through 6 interactive lab stations and DO guided hands-on activities. Opportunities to APPLY your knowledge in practical ways will be provided.  Each participant will leave the session with a handful of resources and practical tips that can be used the very next day!


Event schedule- requirement is 3.5 hours
1:00 – 1:30       Registration
1:30 – 2:30       Communication, access and independence presentation
2:30 – 2:45       Break
2:45 – 3:45      Discovery Lab rotations – hands, eyes and experience with products and software exploring & learning!
3:45 – 4:30    Closing/Questions and Answers/Next Steps

Valerie has been a consultant with Tobii Dynavox since 2009. She has had the opportunity to specialize in AAC and assistive technology evaluations, providing support and trainings to families and therapists in the greater Philadelphia area. Valerie has her undergraduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from West Chester University.
