TD Snap
TD Snap provides Page Set options for a wide variety of users and supports multiple access methods, including touch, mouse dwell, and scanning. In this session, we will focus on TD Snap using the Core First Page Set and our new Motor Planning pagesets. TD Snap Core First is designed for anyone who is a symbol-based communicator developing language skills. TD Snap Core First focuses on engagement, growth, and literacy to give symbol-based communicators the support they need.
TD Snap Motor Plan is an efficient way for learners with complex access needs to develop language. This page set focuses on core words and word-by-word sentence construction. Each word appears only once with a distinct path, or motor plan, to find it. Over time, the communicator will automatically locate words, allowing them to focus on what they want to say.
Communicator 5
Communicator 5 is a powerful communication software that puts the person in charge of their communication, without relying on someone else to speak for them. It runs on Windows products, including our TD I-Series. Communicator 5 has multiple access methods, including gaze interaction, touch, mouse, mouse dwell, and switch scanning. These access methods can support changes in physical needs over time.
• Communicator 5 is designed for the literate adult text based user, for example someone with a progressive or acquired condition.
• The software makes communication efficient, flexible, and real-time.
• Communicator 5 also lets people access popular apps like social media – all with their preferred access method
TD Talk
TD Talk is a fast and personalized communication solution. It can be downloaded to an iPad for touch access and is available on our TD Pilot and TD I-Series for those needing eye gaze access. TD Talk is intuitive to start using right away, and it learns the individual’s personal communication style to let them express themselves with ease.
• TD Talk is designed for the literate adult text-based user, for example someone with a progressive or acquired condition.
• TD Talk provides a simple interface with a keyboard, a speak and pause button, predictive text capabilities, and pre-stored phrases.
• TD Talk is designed with a gaze-first approach, meaning it’s for someone who needs to access the software using their eyes, now or at some point in the future. It can be used with both touch and eye gaze access, and even both at the same time.
Eye Tracking:A Closer Look
Our technology is so advanced that we can track people’s eyes in all conditions - with uncontrolled head movement, in various positions, in bright outdoor sunlight, through glasses, and with just one eye if needed. We’re so excited to be able to provide a way for people with physical limitations a way to interact with their world.
• Eye tracking serves a variety of diagnoses and conditions, such as cerebral palsy, Rett’s syndrome, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and progressive diseases like ALS and Parkinson’s.
