Accessories for AAC devices
From mounts to keyguards to access tools and more, accessories form a key part of Tobii Dynavox assistive communication solutions. Many of our AAC devices come with accessories included, but it’s possible to customize them further to meet specific needs and preferences, or to purchase spares. What’s more, our accessories are compatibility-tested with our devices and are also easy to set up and use.
What kind of accessories can be used with our devices?
Get the most from a Tobii Dynavox communication device with purpose-built accessories including mounts, keyguards, chargers, access/control tools, and travel bags.
Mounting systems
Securely mount an assistive communication device to a wheelchair, table or floorstand using one of our standard or customizable mounts and mount plate systems. Adaptable for use in a variety of environments, our mounting systems empower greater independence.

Control accessories

Keyguards & keyguard holders
Use keyguards—plastic plates secured to the top of a device screen—to facilitate communication. Their 3D grid structure makes buttons and keys simpler to find and push, making the device easier to use. They can be configured to work with specific software and grid sizes.

Access methods for communication devices
There are different ways to access a communication device. Some do it by touch, using their fingers or a hand. Others by eye gaze, using eye tracking technology. Many use a switch controlled with a foot, a knee or other body part. Often, people use a combination of access methods. Tobii Dynavox devices are compatible with all common access methods, and we also offer different mounting systems for each.
Accessories for Tobii Dynavox devices
All Tobii Dynavox speech generating devices come with some accessories included. Other accessories can be purchased optionally for additional customization. Learn more about included and optional accessories for each device here:
TD I-Series

Mounting systems for communication devices
Device mounts offer the flexibility to use a communication solution almost anywhere. Equipping a wheelchair with a mount allows communication on the go. Rolling floor mounts or desk mounts allow positioning at many different angles, enabling device use in bed, a preferred chair, or at a desk. We offer a wide selection of high-quality, purpose-built mounts and mount plates from manufacturers such as Rehadapt, compatible with all Tobii Dynavox devices.
Wheelchair mounts
Attach an assistive communication device to a wheelchair with one of our wheelchair mounts. We offer a selection of standard mounts to fit many different wheelchair models. Our wheelchair mounts are easy to use and quick to adjust, even without tools. We offer a range of base clamps to secure our mounts to many manual or powered wheelchairs, offering the ability to clamp onto most frames, armrests, footrests, or beneath a seat.
Floor mounts
Discover our lightweight, adjustable, rolling, floorstand mounts, designed to securely mount an assistive communication device, place it by a device user’s side, and adjust the arm for correct positioning. Our floorstand mounts are adjustable in height and/or width to enable a smooth passage through narrow doors and allow close placement to beds, recliners, sofas, and wheelchairs.

Chargers & power supplies for communication devices
Get charged and ready to communicate 24/7 with our selection of power banks, external batteries, chargers and connection cables for all current Tobii Dynavox communication devices. All of our devices come with their own power supply included but these additional power supplies are perfect for an extra boost or to have on hand as a spare or replacement. You can also contact us for accessories requests related to older devices.
Power Bank
Gain 75% additional run time on any Tobii Dynavox AAC device with our wireless Power Bank. Mountable, portable and energy efficient, it comes with a dedicated cable to connect a device to a power jack. It has a USB-A port to accommodate any other devices that need charging, in addition to being USB-C enabled. This is an optional accessory that does not come included with a device purchase.
Power Supply
Stay charged up with a power supply for TD I-Series, TD Navio, and TD I-110 devices. This Power Supply Kit has USB-C fast charging and comes with a power adapter, AC power cable and USB-C charge cable. It is identical to the one that comes included at the time of purchase and is also sold separately as a replacement or spare.

Control accessories for communication devices
We offer simple-to-use accessories to control a computer or environment using a Tobii Dynavox communication device.
Access-IT 3
Control a Windows-based computer via TD Snap software using AccessIT 3. There’s no extra software to install. Simply plug AccessIT 3 into a Windows computer USB port and it will connect a Tobii Dynavox AAC device to a Windows computer via Bluetooth. Use this tool to surf the web, send emails, watch videos, connect on social and more. It can be used with any access method, including touch, eye gaze, or scanning.
EyeR
Control the home environment with just a person’s eyes using EyeR, a dedicated infrared (IR) dongle. Compatible with Windows tablets, laptops and PCs, the EyeR dongle offers control of doors, lights, beds, air conditioners, TVs and other infrared-enabled devices—even from across the room. Simply plug EyeR into a computer or tablet to use in combination with Virtual Remote, available on Windows Control 2. It is compatible with Windows Control as well as Gaze Point software making it fully accessible via eye control.

Keyguards for communication devices
Keyguards are plastic plates used on top of an AAC device touchscreen to facilitate selections. It’s simpler and more efficient to use a device with a keyguard for those with limited hand or finger control.
Keyguards & keyguard holders
Make buttons and keys simpler to find and push with a keyguard’s 3D grid structure. Our keyguards come in many different grid sizes and are compatible with different Tobii Dynavox apps and software. They require keyguard holders to stay in place on a device.
