Description In this workshop learn how to make AAC a SNAP for you, the communicator and all those that support them. SNAP + Core First is built for communication success: growth, engagement, and literacy. BEST OF ALL IT IS EASY TO USE AND PERSONALIZE; family members, support staff, teachers and SLPs can make changes, add pages and even find vocabulary in minutes. It comes with Core Words that continuously builds vocabulary and skills by introducing new vocabulary systematically and purposefully. SNAP + Core First has topic pages that make real-time conversations possible! Start at the level that works best for the communicator. Wait there’s more; you will also get implementation ideas, videos of how to’s, goals and lesson plans to support those goals that can be accessed anywhere anytime. Certificates of Attendance will be available to use as continuing education documentation for clinical maintenance hours. All participants are encouraged to bring an iPad, Windows 10 tablet or computer (download the free SNAP + Core First App and the Pathways for Core First App) or bring a Tobii Dynavox Indi or I-110 or I series Device to get hands on experience.

PART 2: Tips and Tricks for Snap + Core First
Using lecture and demonstration, participants will learn about the communication solutions of Snap + Core First that support communication engagement, literacy and language growth. Techniques for customization, simplification, and implementation will be our focus.

Mary Eadie M.A., CCC/SLP, Ed.S. Assistive Technology, is a Regional Solutions Consultants for Colorado. She began working for Tobii Dynavox in January 2011. Mary received her M.A. in Speech Pathology from Western Kentucky University and she also holds a specialist degree in Assistive Technology from the University of Kentucky.
Prior to coming on board with Tobii Dynavox, Mary spent 15 years providing speech pathology services, with an emphasis on AAC, to individuals of various ages and disabilities. Mary enjoys traveling, crafts and spending time with her family.
