Description
Spend a day inside Tobii Dynavox’s ecosystem for symbol-based communicators. Tour the Snap + Core First communication software and discover the evidence that informed its goals, organization, and vocabulary. Experience through hands-on practice how this evidence was brought to reality to support engagement no matter the user’s skill level, literacy level, and experience with Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC). Learn about supports (free apps and printable materials) that empower communication partners to build skills in use of any AAC (low tech to high tech) in all areas of competence.

Presenter: Bethany Diener MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who is specialized in providing AAC services for adults and children with a variety of diagnoses and in many environments for over 30 years. As the Manager of Implementation Resources for Tobii Dynavox, she participates in product development and creates training and implementation resources. Bethany is dedicated to encouraging independence and successful use of augmentative-alternative communication by augmented communicators and their partners.
