How do I set up E-mail in Tobii Communicator 4?

Tobii Communicator has a build-in email-client that allows you to send and receive emails. To set up your email account please follow the below steps. Please note that you need the login credentials and server settings of your email account and email provider. Please contact your email provider to find out the required settings or do an internet search for your providers name and  "Configuring E-mail for Outlook Express". Setting up your Communicator 4 e-mail is very similar to setting up e-mail for Outlook Express. If you can find directions on configuring for Outlook Express, you should be able to follow the directions and translate them to Communicator 4.


To configure your email in Communicator:
  1. Start Tobii Communicator
  2. To view the file menu press F10
  3. In the file menu open Settings > E-mail Settings
  4. Fill in your settings according to your e-mail providers requirements

You should now be able to send and receive emails in Communicator.



A list of settings for some of the most common mail providers:



Incoming mail server (POP3):�
Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
Username (POP3): [Your email address]
Password (POP3): [Your password]

Server for outgoing e-mail (SMTP) demands authorization - checked
Use the same settings as server for incoming e-mail - selected
Incoming mail server (POP3): 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): 465
Check both "This server demands an encrypted connection (SSL)" entries.


You need to enable POP in your Gmail account. Log into the Gmail account using the Gmail webmail service. Click the Settings link. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP link. Click the Enable POP for all mail radio button. Click the Save Changes button. Log out of the Gmail account.
