This may occur for one of the following reasons. Check these conditions and make the necessary corrections.
1. Unplug L*E*O and try recording messages again.
2. Make sure that the microphone is working properly. Open the Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel and click the Voice tab. Make sure that your microphone is selected as the Default Device under Voice Recording. Then click Test hardware and follow the instructions on the screens that follow. If the test is successful, then check that the Default Recording device in the Audio tab is also set to the microphone. Also click the Volumeon each tab to make sure that the volume is at a high enough level and hasn't been inadvertently muted.
